Еcological Complexes of Beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera) Coastal Area of Floodplain Lakes of Medveditsa River (Saratov Area)

The article contains the results of the coastal beetles research (floodplain lakes of Medveditsa river Lysogorsky district Saratov region). There is also a brief description of the investigated biotope. List of 68 species of beetles is presented. The representatives of investigated set of beetles are divided into ecological groups, humid gradient and food chains.

Species Composition of Beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera) Border Area «Wate – Land» of Medveditsa River Lysogorsky District (Saratov Area)

The article contains the results of the coastal beetles research (Medveditsa river Lysogorsky district Saratov region). There is also a brief description of the investigated biotope. List of 19 faunal species of beetles, that contains 9 species and one family, which are specified as new to the fauna of the Saratov Area, is presented. The representatives of investigated set of beetles are divided into ecological groups.

The New Experience Use of Malaise Trap for the Study of the Beetles Fauna (Insecta: Coleoptera) of National Park «Khvalynsky» (Saratov Oblast)

The article describes the new experience of the long-term use of the Malaise trap (tent trap) for the season 2018–2019 on the territory of the National Park «Khvalynsky» (Saratov province). During this period, 44 species of beetles belonging to 19 families were recorded 6 species: Leiodes obesa (Schmidt, 1841), Philonthus concinnus (Gravenhorst, 1802), Mordellistena humeralis (Linnaeus, 1758), M. intersecta Emery, 1876, M. purpureonigrans Ermisch, 1963 and Scraptia fuscula P. W. J. Müller, 1821 were recorded in the fauna of Saratov oblast for the first time.

The Additional Data about Spring Beetles Fauna (Insecta: Coleoptera) of the Natural Monument «Rasskazan’ Lake» (Saratov Province)

The present work is a continuation of the inventory of the coleopterofauna of the water-terrestrial ecotones of the nature monument «Rasskazan’ Lake» Balashov district of Saratov province, which began in 2017. The study concerned the spring fauna of the period of occurrence of the Khoper river in low water after floods and the beginning of the stagnation of the lake water level. In total, 137 species from 18 families were noted for the studied biotopes, of which 41 species were new, with – 7 species appearing for the first time for the territory of the Saratov province.

The Beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera), Collected by the Light Traps with Super Bright LEDs on the Territory of Krasnodar

The collections were realized out in June – September 2018 using the original light trap within the city of Krasnodar. The article contains lists of 74 species (1252 specimens) of Coleopteran from 15 families: Carabidae – 13 species, Hydrophilidae – 12, Dytiscidae – 6, Elateridae – 6, Curculionidae – 4, Coccinellidae – 3, Heteroceridae – 2, Tenebrionidae – 2, Chrysomelidae – 2, Spercheidae, Scirtidae, Cantharidae, Bostrichidae, Anthicidae and Cerambycidae – in 1 species.

The Spreading of Pear Moth – Cydia pyrivora (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) on the North-East of the European Part of Russia

Pear moth – Cydia pyrivora is a narrow oligophage, whose larvae feed on the pith and pulp of fruit pears. In the region the species is connected here with warm biotopes on the Volga’s slopes and inhabits garden plots and abandoned gardens with pear trees. The areal extent in the north-east of the European part of Russia is considered for the pear moth Cydia pyrivora over a 60-year period. Over the past decade there has been quite a rapid expansion of the species to the north on the floodplain of the Volga river up to the Centre of the Ulyanovsk Province.

The Preliminary Ecological-Faunistic Data about Fungivorous Beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera) of Saratov Province

Until this article in the Saratov Province special studies of fungivorous beetles fauna of Coleoptera was carried out. The collection material was conducted by the authors in the spring and summer of 2017 with fruiting bodies of different species of xylotrophic Basidiomycetes of the families Polyporaceae and Fomitopsidaceae on the territory of 4 districts of the Saratov Province (Voskresenskiy, Khvalynskiy, Saratovskiy, Engelskiy). As a result, on 4 species of xylotrophic fungi were found 13 species of Coleoptera from 6 families.

New for a Fauna of the Lower Volga Species of Centipedes and Millipedes

5 species of millipedes, 12 species of geophilomorph centipedes, 3 species of scolopendromorpha centipedes, 11 species of lithobiids and 1 species of scutigeromorph centipedes are listed for the territory of the Lower Volga region (in the limits of Saratov, Volgograd, Orenburg and Astrakhan regions and Kalmyk Republic) as a result of processing of collection materials kept in ZM MSU, ZIN RAS, collection of the Department of Biology and Chemistry of the UlSPU and of the Department of Animal Morphology and Ecology, Saratov State University, and exploring of literary sources.

In the article the results of short-term investigations of water-land biotopes of the natural monument «Rasskazan’ Lake» (Balashov district of the Saratov Province) is presents. Compiled a list of 67 species from 9 families Coleoptera. 8 spesies – Chlaenius nitidulus (Schrank, 1781), Demetrias monostigma Samouelle, 1819, Agonum versutum Sturm, 1824 Pterostichus ovoideus (Sturm, 1824), Lathrobium brunnipes (Fabricius, 1793), Stenus similis (Herbst, 1784), Plateumaris sericea (Linnaeus, 1761) and Notaris acridulus (Linnaeus, 1758) are recorded for the Saratov Province in the first time.

The Use of Malaise Trap for the Study of the Beetles Fauna (Insecta: Coleoptera) in the Territory of National Park «Khvalynsky» Saratov Province

In the article results of use of Malaise trap for the study of the beetles local fauna (Insecta: Coleoptera) in the territory of National Park «Khvalynsky» is given. Compiled a list of 95 species from 32 families Coleoptera. Antherophagus pallens (Linnaeus, 1758) and Saperda octopunctata (Scopoli, 1772) are recorded for Saratov region in first time.
