Potamogetonaceae in Herbarium SSU (Sarat). Part 1

The article presents the results of the inventory of herbarium collections of eight species of Potamogetonaceae, stored in the Herbarium of SSU, a database of locations of these species, including 101 record from the territory of Astrakhan, Volgograd, Penza, Samara, Saratov region and Western Kazakhstan.

The Role of Beta-2-Adrenomediated Mechanisms of Injures of Venous Cerebral Blood Flow in Newborn Rats with Intracranial Hemorrhage

Development of stress-induced hemorrhagic cerebral infarction in neonatal rats is accompanied by pathological relaxation of cerebral veins that provokes the appearance of venous insufficiency and reduced outflow of blood from the brain. These critical changes in cerebral blood flowprecede intracranial hemorrhage and may be predictors of the risk of stroke in the first days after birth.

Experimental Study of Electromagnetic Fields the Meter Band Some Indicators of Oxidative Stress

The paper presents the results of an experimental study of VHF band electromagnetic field on the intensity of lipid peroxidation and total antioxidant activity of rats blood serum. As a result of the conducted research it were revealed valid changes in the concentration of diene conjugates, ketodienes and of the activity of the antioxidative system at different duration of exposure.

Biological Properties of Bacteria – Assiociants Aphis Pomi Degeer, 1773

The biological features of associative microorganisms Aphis pomi in the Saratov Region were studied. 12 species of bacteria from 2 genera were isolated. 94.2% of the species are able to use glucose; 76.5% – saccharose. Alkaline pH is preferred 100% of the isolates. Bacillus funiculus, B. clausii, B. oleronius, B. soli have pectinase activity, 83% of the species have the enzyme nitrogenase, 58% of species are capable to recove cellulose.

Water Deficit of Woody Plants in Different Environmental Conditions

Materials on brich, balsam poplar water deficit under polymetallic pollution are presented in this article. The purpose of this work content of water in leaves of a birch, poplar in morning, midday and afternoon hours is defined. The relative vital condition of wood plants in the conditions of pollution of the Sterlitamak industrial center and in a zone of conditional control is estimated. There have been investigated root systems of wood plants. The object of investigations was brich, balsam poplar, located in different disfance from industrial enterprises of Sterlitamak.

The State of the Cenopopulation Delphinium Pubiflorum (Dc.) Turcz. Ex Huth in Tatishevskiy District of the Saratov Region

Delphinium pubiflorum grows sparsely in the meadow-steppe forbgrass-shrub community on carbonate chernozem fairly rich soil. Habitat conditions correspond to moderately variable meadow-steppe hydration. The spatial structure of populations of non-uniform: there are a multitude of plants and detached instances; population density was approximately 7–8 plants per 100 m2.

Developing and Testing Laboratory Samples of Innovative Biologically Active Preparations Based on the Core-shell Structure

We developed various options of biologically active agents based on the core–shell structure technology. They were obtained by layering biocompatible polymer on the surface of the carriers. As a core, we used a heterocyclic compound comprising of enamine and flavonoid nanoaggregates. As a shell, we used polу azolidinе аmmonium modified by iodine hydrate-ions. Our results implied a significant increase in antimicrobial activity of the preparations developed by us.

Associative Microorganisms Shoots Apple Tree (Malus P. Mill, 1754) in Saratov Region

Species composition, quantitative indicators and the occurrence of bacteria and fungi associated with apple shoots in the Saratov region were studied. On the surface shoots isolated 12 species of bacteria, and 4 species of fungi, of the internal environment – 14 species of bacteria and 3 species of fungi. The most common surface associates apple shoots appeared bacterium Bacillus subtilis, Pantoea agglomerans, fungus Alternaria sp. and Fusarium tricinctum, internal environment shoots – Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Penicillium sp.

To Biology of a Rare Species of Primula Farinosa L. in Ritsinsky Relic National Park (Abkhazia Republic)

Research of eight populations of a rare species Primula farinosa L (syn. Р. algida auct. fl. colch.) in Ritsinsky relic national park (Abkhazia Republic) is conducted. The studied coenopopulations are located at the height of 1645–2250 m above sea level. Total number of species in them makes about 2200 pieces. In the majority of morphometric parameters coenopopulations from the natural boundary Pyv. On vital state three populations are carried to prospering, two – to equilibrium and three populations depressive. Optimum conditions for growth of Primula farinosa are defined.

Features of Species Diagnostics of the Imago of the Subfamily of Chironominae from Floodplane Lakes of Volga River (Saratov Region). At Research of Flows of Substance and Energy between Water and Land Ecosystems

Key to the subfamilies of chironomids (Chironominae) based on the morphology of the male genitalia includes 16 genus and 45 species found in the Volga river floodplain lakes (Saratov region). For the six species of the four genera of the tribe Chironomini (Einfeldia sp.1, Chironomus sp. (Lobochironomus), Dicrotendipes sp.1, Dicrotendipes sp.2, Parachironomus sp., Polypedilum sp.) described morphological differences from the known and the most directly comparable species. 

ANTIBIOTIC SUSCEPTIBILITY OF PATHOGENS IN URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS IN COMMUNITY

This study was done to evaluate the bacterial profile and antibiotic susceptibility pattern of urinary tract infections (UTIs) microbial causative agents. For proper identification of causative microbial agents, mid– stream urine (MSU) samples were taken from 325 patients suspected to have UTI. These specimens were cultured and subjected to appropriate biochemical tests. Our results revealed that 200 urine samples showed positive cultures. The most prevalence isolates were Escherichia coli with frequency rate of 55.5%, followed by Klebsiella spp. (14%), Enterobacter spp.

Gene Expression of Specific Factors Transcription Exp1 during Morphogenesis Xylotrophic Basidiomycete Lentinus Edodes

It was established that gene expression exp1, encoding a specific transcription factor was activated during transition the vegetative to the generative stage of development in cultivating xylotrophic basidiomycete Lentinus edodes (shiitake) on wood substrate. Especially this is characteristic from stage previous of fruiting and connected with the formation of brown mycelial mat. A study showed that exp1 gene transcriptional activity increased 10-fold during formation of the morphological structure, while drop in activity of the gene was marked for primordial and fruiting bodies.

Bioaccumulation of Cadmium (II) by Bacillus sp. 14 Rhizobacteria

To study the resistance of isolated rhizobacterium Bacillus sp. 14 to cadmium (II), bioaccumulation of the metal by this microorganism was investigated. It was shown that accumulation of cadmium (II) occurs during the exponential phase of the microorganism’s growth. The predominant role of the extracellular surface of the growing cells Bacillus sp. 14 in the cadmium (II) resistance was clarified.

Biology Features of Ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) in the National Park «Khvalynsky» (Saratov Region)

Ants are essential component of ecosystems. Their success is due to the social organization, the ability to alter habitat and use a variety of food resources. Food objects of ants are not large invertebrates, seeds of plants and honeydew aphids. The activity of ant in community dedicated to different time slots. We have founded the dominant group of ants in size in the studied associations (Tetramorium caespitum – in forest; Lasius alienus and species of the genus Myrmica – in steppe). Installed the fauna of 5 living in the ant nests of studied species.

Light-dependent Bioelectric Activity of Wheat Seedlings

Was studied the peculiarities of tissue changes of bioelectric potentials of spring wheat seedlings in the early stages of ontogeny. Appreciated the contribution of the spectral composition of light and simulated drought conditions on the formation of action potentials in the tissues. It was found that the bioelectrical reaction of wheat seedlings to light exposure differs from etiolated plants and pre-lit. It shows more value to generate an action potential areas of blue and red region of the spectrum.

Spatial Structure of Spermophilus Pygmaeus Pallas, 1778 Settlements Found in the Territory of the North-Western Caspian-Sea Region

Represented are the results of assessment regarding abundance rates and spatial structure of little souslik settlements situated in the territory of the North-Western Caspian-Sea Region. Investigated are the factors affecting the spatial structure of its settlements in the territory of the Ergeninsk Upland, Sarpinsk and Caspian Depressions.

The Malondialdehyde Assessment in the Blood Serum of Ultrahigh Frequency Electromagnetic Field Exposed Animals

The goal of this research was lipid peroxidation process assessment for different levels of ultrahigh frequency electromagnetic field and different time exposure. There were animal 171 MHz one time exposures during 1 and 3 hours. In the blood serum of exposed animals the malondialdehyde concentration evaluated the lipid peroxidation process. The research results shown the statistically significant electromagnetic field biological effects as for maximum field strength 1 hour exposure, as lower field strength 3 hours exposure.
